Framing Hip Roof Cupola

In order to allow for the cupola the framing of the roof does not extend to the peak.

The framing for this roof is a symmetrical hip roof with large overhangs and a cupola. Screws through the rafters into the hub. My contractor buddy built the frame out of wood and wants a metal roof. Item 1356844 model 2136cv.

Join the rafters using a 6 1 2 in.
